All I wanted to do today was get more content on the site but as usualy things in the life of Adam did not go to plan! After just finishing my Second tutorial for the day I received a phone call from a friend asking a favor, and me being a nice guy said “Yea, no problem”. And since then I’ve been away from the computer :@ not my idea of a constructive day, I really wanted to get more on today and while still having not alot of feed back from people online I’m just writing tutorials in random order. Writing about what ever I can find although I would like to write more along the lines of what YOU want!
Thats the main reason why I want your feedback is so that I can make this site into what you want and need, if you don’t tell me what you want then you might not get it!
Thats all for now, hopefully I’ll get some feedback.

Ok so the last post i did was telling you how to Defragment more then one hard drive at the same time, well since doing that I’ve thought of more that I could add to the same tutorail. Infact its two add-on tutorial that I have come up with and they are as follows:1.) How to schedule the batch to auto run using windows task scheduler. by using this you will only be setting up one scheduled task to defrag all your drives!! now that has to be good and more simple!
2.) How to make the batch file Runable e.g holding down the windows key and pressing R then typing in DefragAll and the program starts rather then looking for the file if you have moved it to a different location.
These tutorials will be finished tomorrow, then they will be live for you to use and make your computing experience again more simple for you all.
Untill Tomorrow,

So you want to defrag all your drives at the same time? Windows XP does not provide you with a way to do this so I’m going to show you how you can! Don’t worry it will only take you a few minutes and I’ll show you in very easy steps.
The best thing is that after writing this very small program you will never know how you lived without it, more so if you have loads of hard drives. In simple terms you are going to create a very small batch file to that you can easily double click on to defragment all your drives at once!
Step One
Click ‘Start’ and then Click ‘Run’
Or
Hold down your ‘windows key’ and press ‘R’

Step Two
Type Notepad into the dialog box and click ‘OK’

Step Three
Below are the defragment options that are available to you, don’t worry if you don’t understand them all as I’ve only placed them here just in case you are a bit technical and would like to do more!

Step Four
Type defrag c: -f into the Notepad as displayed below

Step Five
Now for your additional drives you will just enter the same except you will change c: to what ever letters your other drives are, see below for an example.

Step Six
So you see all you have to do is add a line for each drive with its own letter, simple! well I did say that it would be.
Step Seven
Click on File and Save as.

Step Eight
Make sure you change the “Save Type as” to All files as below.

Step Nine
Name the file DefragAll.bat and Click save
Make sure you know where you are saving to!

Step Ten
The file you have saved will look like the image below.

That’s it!
OK you are now done all you have to do now is Double Click the DefragAll file and the program will start! That’s all there is to it!

Todays planned tutorial, is going to be a little late. Reason being I’ve had a few other things that have required more of my attention for a little while, but don’t dispair because I’ll have it up by the end of the day for you all to see.
I just thought that it would be nice to give you all a little update and let you know what was going on, just incase you are waiting on this tutorial. As soon as I get the tutorial up I’ll once again put a post on here to let you know that its done.
While im at it this is a very good time for you to start asking for tutorials that you would like to see on adamsdvds.co.uk, just leave a comment at the bottom of this post and I’ll get to work on them asap. Also to make it just that little bit more personal I’ll even send you an email once the tutorial is completed, on that note I’m thinking of setting up a opt in email list “newsletter” so you are able to keep up to date with the latest tutorials and/or tips and tweaks.
Thats about all for now this was just a quick update to let you know what was going on and when things will be happening. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear from you.

Well I was just having a quick look round on google to get ideas for upcoming tutorials that I can write for you guys and I found a tutorial telling me how to defragment 2 or more hard drives at once. But with it being late now and I’m just about to finaly get some reason after promoting my site all day and looking into new functions to make adamsdvds.co.uk more enjoyable for you!
So I’m going to write this tutorial tomorrow because I think it will be usefull for quite a few of you our there that don’t have the time to be sitting around waiting for a defrag to finish! Although I have allready wrote a tutorial on how to set up your computer to Run Defrag Automaticaly at any set time you wish!
I would say that this tutorial is just a must have for the guy/girl on the go when you just want to double click and have all your drives defraged at once while you are away from the computer, because as most of you may notice when you do a defrag the last thing you want to be doing is using your computer! Depending on how old it is or how much RAM you have, The process tends to slow down your comptuter.
So come back tomorrow, or maybe today as the case may be if you want to know how to write this tiny program. Don’t worry! its very easy, you should know me by now all my tutorials are designed for the complete beginner. If you have more then one drive on your computer I can assure you that you will value this small progam that will take you in total less then 5 minutes to write! now how cool is that?
Untill Tomorrow,

I’ve been quite busy all day working on some new parts of the site that I plan to put live soon, as soon as I’ve ironed out the paper I’ll have them up and running then I can get back to writing some more tutorials. There is going to a few more Firefox tutorials coming soon! so look out for them.
I’ve currently added Google Adsense to Adamsdvds.co.uk I hope this is not going to make your viewing experience any less pleasant, I’ve tried to keep it down to a minimum.
Pages that I’m currently working on:
- Contact Page:- Where you will be able to fill in a small form to contact me.
- Tutorial Submission:- Where you can contribute tutorials, tips and tricks, tweaks anything that you think would be useful to the site. Having a bit of trouble with this (I’m no whizkid with code) maybe I’ll just add a page where you can submit an email, we will see.
- Requests:- This is going to be all about you! my readers/viewers, if you are looking for a tutorial that you can’t find or maybe you can but you would like a more detailed one. This is where you would request that.
They will be up and available for you to use ASAP, like I said I’m working on them now so as soon as there done I’ll make them live. That’s about it for now tho I just wanted to keep you all in the loop and as always any suggestions that you have are very welcome, because after all this site is for you all if it wasn’t for you! there would be no adamsdvds.co.uk.
I came over to my issues when I was trying to set these pages up if any knows how to do what im saying above and can do it free i would be very interested in speaking to you!

Well I’ve allready given you the Keyboard Shortcuts so I thought that I better give you the mouse short cuts too, Alothough this list is a lot smaller then the keyboard section there are still some useful shortcuts, maybe some that you did not know. Anything that can learn you something even if its only one thing, is a good thing in my books.
