Speed up Page Rendering in Firefox
This tutorial is going to show you how to speed up page rendering in Mozilla Firefox because the default setting makes Firefox wait 250 milliseconds before it starts to render (draw) the page.
This tweak will make it so Firefox starts to render the page straight away, making the page load faster ( or look as if its loading faster). However as always with these about:config tweaks this will not work for some people and a Backup should be done before doing the tutorial so you can revert if necessary. The adverse affects that could be caused by this tutorial are longer page loading time more so if your computer is older.
Step One
Open up Firefox by using one of the methods below:
Double Click the 'Firefox Icon' on the desktop
Or
Hold down the 'windows key' and Press 'R' then type in Firefox and Press 'Enter'.
Step Two
Now type about:config into the Address bar and Press 'Enter'.
Step Three
Right click in the window, select 'New' then Click 'Integer'
Step Four
In the 'New Integer Value' box type
nglayout.initialpaint.delay
then Click OK
Step Five
In the 'Enter Integer Value' box type 0
(Zero) as seen below
then Click OK
Step Six
In the Filter bar type nglayout.initialpaint.delay
Step Seven
Confirm the Value is set to 0 (Zero) as below.
Step Eight
Close Firefox
That's it!
The next time you start Firefox you pages should start to load as soon as you reach a site there for slightly faster, if this tweak causes your pages to load slower then revert to your backup.
